For the most part, I think people are more concerned with the ability of their photographer than what their photographer thinks. You have to like his or her work first before the other stuff matters. And to me that's understandable. So if you haven't already, please check out my work at the various galleries to the right. If you like my work, and you're interested in what I think ( and like to read).....here's the other stuff.
How I Define Photography
Beyond the presence & absence of light & silver halide Emulsion
aspects
When an event is important enough to warrant looking into hiring a professional photographer, that tells you something about just how important that event is. Photos and videos have a significance to them that nothing else can really compare to. Among possessions they are often considered among the most valuable, oftentimes moreso than jewelery and "tangible" assets. They can't be insured, and unless you have copies, they can't be replaced. And the most interesting thing about them is that the only people they are valuable to, are their owners.

and shoved it in the back of the minivan
Recently there was a situation in California where wildfires forced the evacuation of thousands of people. This occasionally happens when natural disasters such as fires or tornadoes occur, and everytime it does the media converges to report on it. These salacious news reporters covering "human interest" stories always ask the same questions, and you always hear the same responses... "We just had enough time to grab the kids, our pets, and our photos." No one grabbed their $3500 italian leather couch and stuffed it in the back of the minivan.
In photography, every image captures a moment, and a group of images can tell a story. But a great image can do both. Sometimes a great image is captured by accident. Sometimes it is captured by design. But the way to tell a good photographer from someone taking snapshots is when the majority of their images are good by design rather than by accident, or sheer number.
So why are photos so important? Well the reality is because the human machine is flawed and memory fades. Bummer isn't it? But even more importantly you can't crack the hatch open on your brain and pull things out to show to your grandkids (at least not ye t - how cool would that be?). Hence, the photo album.

And that's how the name Always Remember Photography came to be. Photos, and memories , to Always Remember. Could the name be any longer? Yeah, it's a lot of typing, sorry. But if I had changed it to
VaughnBishopPhotography.com (that's my name), or NeverForgetPhotography.com (sounds wrong),
you might have saved 2 or 3 letters and I would fallen to the bottom in the yellow page listings. I like it. And it conveys what I try to accomplish with my images. So with that said, "Hello and welcome to my website."
My name is Vaughn Bishop. I'm a Los Angeles based event photographer specializing in corporate
events and weddings. I do shoot other things also including models and landscapes, depositions, underwater video, and on the very rare occasion hoops. I shoot both photos and video, all digital
and all high definition. Right now photography is my life and I enjoy it very much. I think I'm good at it and I like working. People are typically
